Happenings in the area In the summer are many.  You may consider attending Muskegon Summer Celebration - an 11 day concert held at Muskegon's Heritage Landing on Muskegon Lake.  Heritage Landing is an open air venue and host to a variety of entertainment throughout the summer.  Be sure and check the entertainment listed on the right side of this page.

Michigan's Adventure is a Cedar Fair L.P. amusement park located just a few miles from North Muskegon.

Frauenthal Center for Performing Arts
The Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts is comprised of two main buildings which have been joined into one complex. The Center's flagship is the 1,748 seat Frauenthal Theater, a fully restored historic motion picture palace. In addition to the Theater, this building is home to 4 levels of office space. Adjacent to this complex is the Hilt Building, which is home to the modern 169 seat Beardsley Theater, the Bettye Clark Cannon Gallery and other meeting and support spaces.

Muskegon Film Festival
The Muskegon Film Festival is a two day event showcasing the best independent films from the Muskegon area.

Muskegon Museum of Art
The Muskegon Museum of Art is Muskegon's premier art gallery.

Lakeshore Museum Center 
Formerly the Muskegon County Museum, the Lakeshore Museum Center is proud to present its new name and logo. We want everyone to know that our institution is made up of multiple sites and buildings. In addition to the natural and cultural history museum, we have the Hackley and Hume Historic Site, the Fire Barn Museum, the Scolnik House of the Depression Era, the Archives and much more!

West Michigan Whitecaps
The West Michigan Whitecaps are a professional minor league baseball team. "Home" is Fifth Third Ballpark, a privately-owned stadium seven miles north of Grand Rapids.  

Winter Sports Complex
The Winter Sports Complex is the best way to have fun in the winter in Muskegon. Located across Lake Michigan, the winter sports complex features ski trails, skating rinks, and one of only three luge tracks in the nation.

Yacht Club
Located on the shore of beautiful Muskegon Lake, Muskegon Yacht Club offers its members and guests both protected lake sailing and easy access to Lake Michigan.

Muskegon Conservation Club - Guardians of our natural resources. 
The Wilder River Walk was completed in December of 2007.  Take a walk on the paths or bike the paved path on the scenic Muskegon River or stop and enjoy one of seven fishing platforms located within  the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve.

Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve
The Muskegon Education Research and Education Society (MERES) operates the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve and provides educational programs in conjunction with the Muskegon Conservation District.  They also maintain the pathways for your family's enjoyment and safety.  This is just one of the Nature Preserves throughout West Michigan.  Follow the link to learn about many more.

No matter what the season, there's always something to do in the North Muskegon Area. The City of North Muskegon is surrounded by lakes.    Swimming, boating, fishing, and water skiing are just a few of the activities you see daily.  Muskegon Lake is located on our South.  Custer Park and the Waterfront Sports Park are both located on Muskegon Lake.  Bear Lake is located on our North and is home to the scenic  Bear Lake Beach.  Lake Michigan is to our West and features State and County Parks along beautiful Scenic Drive.
